Courses for Visiting Exchange Students
Visiting exchange students are assigned to a specific department, they are allowed to take any courses, including regular courses taught in Japanese, from any of our other departments.
In addition, KGU offers some Special Courses for Visiting Exchange Students. Japanese courses designed especially for visiting exchange students who have little skill in Japanese, and the courses taught in English or bilingually, as follows. |

Topics pertaining to the economic and cultural dimensions of Japan's relations with other nations and peoples are explored through lectures and class discussions. The course is taught in English by two instructors. One focuses on economic issues while the other focuses on cultural issues. |

Study linguistic and socio-cultural variation in English varieties around the world, both native and non-native. |

(Japanese Culture and Society) |

The primary purpose of the course is to provide a venue for the participants to discuss issues related to Japan. Topics discussed and studied in the past include Japanese and Western communication styles, relationships between men and women, whaling and the environment. |
