Admission Policies
All persons who are interested in applying to enroll in Kumamoto Gakuen University should begin by expressing their interest to us directly via e-mail, postal letter, fax, or telephone. Note: Applicants to the Faculty of Commerce and the Faculty of Economics may select up to their second choice of department.

Eligibility
Applicants who meet both of the following conditions are eligible:
1. Applicants who hold foreign nationality and have completed or are expected to complete 12 years of education equivalent to that in Japan, at least 8 years of which must have been completed in a foreign country; and
2. Applicants who fulfill one of the following conditions:
- Applicants who have taken the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test administered by the Japan Foundation and the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services in and after July 2020 and have passed N2 or above; or
- Applicants who have taken the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) administered by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) in and after June 2020 and have scored 200 or above in Japanese (Reading, Listening, and Listening & Reading) .
